If Both are different, please share the steps to install both the Servers.

Is it possible to install both servers on the same Host or different host.

I Have confusion, which document(SAP Mobile Platform Server / MBO Runtime Server) i have to follow for installation,

HiVamsi,

SMP 3.0 SP03 runtime  is coming with two separate binary files as SMP3ServerInstaller and SMP3MBORuntimeInstaller in a complete zip file.

If you want to migrate MBO based app (already developed on SMP 2.3 or lower versions) to SMP 3.0 then you can install it. MBORuntimeInstaller is optional.

While installing SMP3ServerInstaller it would ask you to select the check box if you want to launch MBO runtime Installer.

Both files should be on same host.

Optionally, with any SAP Mobile Platform installation scenario, you can also install MBO Runtime components. For cluster installations, you install the MBO Runtime database (called the data tier) after installing the SAP Mobile Platform external database. For a single-server installation, and installation of individual servers within a cluster, the SAP Mobile Platform Server SP03 installer launches the MBO Runtime Server 3.0 installer on completion of the SAP Mobile Platform SP03 installation.

A correction here, the MBO runtime is not for migrating the MBO based apps to SMP 3, but it allows you to maintain the backward compatibility with your SMP 2.3 MBO applications. ie the MBO based apps developed using SMP 2.3 runs in SMP 3 with MBO runtime server and MBO toolkit. The MBO toolkit is added with service pack 3 (SP03).
