Transfer old item code to new item code with quantity by DTW (SAP B1 8.82)

Hi all.

I am trying to transfer all the old item codes with quantity to new item codes in SAP 8.82.

All the items are managed by batches. I have already created all the new item codes in system but I don't know how to transfer the existing quantities in the old item codes to the new item codes. Is it using the OIGN & IGN1 to receive the quantity and using OIGE & IGE1 to issue out the quantities in old item codes?

I am using SAP B1 8.82 PL12.

Kindly guide me on the above issue.

Hi,

Use OIGN and IGN1 template to receive quantity.

How about the existing quantity in the old item codes? How am I going to zeroize them?

Use Good issue to make zero quantity for old items.

Please clarify:

Hi,

1. We want to stop the usage of old item codes as it's not identical. We have already started with a new item code system and we wish to transfer those old item codes which have balance quantities to the new item code. We will remain those old items which involved in partial delivery until full delivery. The users already started to use the new item codes in the system.

2. I have user defined fields to match the old item code with new item code.

Hi Naga,

Our items are managed by batches. SAP note 864113 is for those transactions without batch/serial numbers. Anyway, I have checked SAP note 841270 and it still needs the Goods Receipt DTW for those items managed by batch numbers.
