SAP Netweaver 7.3 Installation stuck at import abap

Former Member

Hi all,

I am trying to do a new installation of NW 7.3 by importing data from a system copy.

At the phase "import ABAP" the installation gets an error on step 32 (or something like that), then it continues but at the last 2 jobs it seems stucked.

Now I have this situation: running 1, waiting 1, completed 42, failed 1.

I am new to this operation, can you please help me?

In attach the import log and the error that is generated near step 32.

Hi Luca,

Cannot find the object "DDLOG" because it does not exist or you do not have permission

Please check table DDLOG exists in DB or not.

If yes, then drop it.

Change the status in import_properties file as err

Repeat the import phase again.

Hope this helps.

How can I check it? I only have the export package from the source system.

Thanks Deepak, as you can see I don't have a DDLOG table,
.

What do you mean with "Change the status in import_properties"?

After that what can I do to restart the import process?

Thanks

Hi Luca,

In the installation log folder look for file SAPSPROT.TSK.

Check the status of DDLOG to err and resume the import.

I have ERR on the DDLOG line in the SAPROT.TSK file, I changed it to OK.

How can i stop and resume the import abap action now?

Dear Luca,

Stop or exit sapinst screen then again execute the sapinst to select continue from old installation option.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Luca,

Do not change it OK. with OK status SAPinst will not import this table.

Keep it ERR and resume the import phase.

I did what you suggest but when I resume the import during "analyzing log files" I get this error: "An error occurred while processing option" (Last error reported by step: Program Migration Monitor exits with error code 103". In the log I found: ERROR: 2014-05-23 13:53:24 com.sap.inst.migmon.LoadTask run Loading of 'SAPDFACT' import package is interrupted with R3load error.

I noticed in the log something about sapdfact.tsk corrupted, so I did a substitution with the sapdfact.tsk.bck but now it's still stuck at 1 job running, 1 waiting.

Hi Luca,

I noticed in the log something about sapdfact.tsk corrupted, so I did a substitution with the sapdfact.tsk.bck but now it's still stuck at 1 job running, 1 waiting.

As there are no failed jobs the situation looks good here.

Just monitor logs and track progress on import.

It seems still stuck at that point, logs are not written since last post.

What should I check?
