Question on SAP CRM TPM, changes to released events

Hello All -

In SAP CRM TPM, right now when an event is released, the system does not allow any changes. We had a fit gap in Spain, and in talking to other countries, a new request has come for year long events to allows new materials to be added. We are live in five coutnries, and this had not come up before. Is this common in SAP CRM TPM, to allow changes to released events?

Hi George,

there are certain restriction to delete product or trade spends in released trade promotions. You should however be able to add products or trade spends independently of the trade promotion status. Any conditions generated are either created retroactively for rebate conditions or starting from the current date for pricing conditions.

I guess the issue is related to the status management. It may appear that there is a 'changes forbidden' transaction is set on releasing the trade promotions. You then need use any interim status such as 'rework promotion' which undoes the 'changes fobidden' transaction, add the products and 're-release' the promotion again.

This is most properly about stutus management.

you can maintain product group or product categery in trade promotion as a product basiss.
