How to subtract an avg of number from an avg of number?

I would like to take two averages that are currently in the Group Header one and subtract one number from the other.

Avg of LOS_VIEW.LOS     and subtract   Avg of GEOMEAN_VIEW.LOS     and display the answer.

I don't see a way to access these two items from the Formula Editor.

hi Michael,

you should see them in the list of Report Fields in the formula editor.

just double click on the summary to bring it into your current formula...or drag and drop the ones you need.

if you don't see a summary that you want to use, you can also hand type any summary field that you need...i.e. they don't need to exist already in the report, just start typing in the syntax...

Average({Command.your fieldl}, {Command.your group field})

Jamie,

Sorry but I still don't understand what to do.  Here are some snapshots that might help.

The arrow is pointing to the formula I wanted to use.  It has nothing in it now.

I want to take VIEW.LOS     and subtract the       MEAN.LOS

I don't see these in the view above.

In the second column of the formula editor you have a folder named Report Fields. Open that folder and you'll see the summaries that you have on the report. You can drag and drop them into your formula.
