Message Type not available to add in WE20 for IDoc outbound processing

Hi,

the documentation to XI for outbound IDoc adapter settings contains fact, that you have to add your message types to be sent into the receiver system in the partner profile (we20) in XI system.

I have imported the IDoc metadata (IDX2) into XI, but when I try to set up the we20, outbound messages, I can not see the message, which I want to send from XI into the R/3.

What additional steps do I have to do, to set it up correctly?

Thanx 4 answers!

hi Peter,

you don't do WE20 in the XI

idx1 and IDX2 + rfc dest to R/3 (SM59) is all you need to do:)

So now I'm really confused..

Here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b9/c5b13bbeb0cb37e10000000a11402f/content.htm is written, that you have to configure WE20 (R/3 and XI as well..)

We're still fighting the problem with sending multiple Idocs from the BPM (from the ForEach Block), so we're reading every documentation possible, and trying to make all settings possible..

Thanx Michal!

Hi Michal,

joking, ha? )

I didn't mean message type in XI, but logical message type, which should be set up in the ABAP part (logical message - IDoc)

Well, do you know, what was wrong with the mass IDOC sending?? We had set up only 2 dialog processes on XI, and this mass IDOCs sending, which I needed to work, needs more of these processes. Optimal number is 5.

This problem cost me 2 years of my life

Thanx for your help anyway!

Peter
