Dashboards Login Screen

Former Member

I have exported my dashboard as an SWF and opened it in a web browser however the login screen is incredibly small (see attachment 1). This appears to be due to the Canvas size I have set in File > Document Properties which needs to be large due to the use of the Dashboard. I know this is the cause because I set the canvas size to very small and then the login screen become very large (attachement 2).

My question is, is there anyway to increase the size of the login screen without decreasing the dashboard size? As you can see as it currently exists its very impractical.

Hi Matthew,

1. plz check the screen resolution of your system keep it as (1024*768) (of window)

2. plz check the Zoom option of your browser (IE zoom 100%)

3.and keep ur canvas size as 1024*768.

I cannot keep the canvas size that small as the background image use to overly objects is very large.

As the resolutionj u are using is HD resolution it will show small dialog box, but the same thing if you open in other windows resolution, it will show normal size. use 1366*768 or nearby resolution.

Thank You,

can u set some resolution as of canvas to your desktop

No, that can't be done, because if you do that, the people who may use will not use the same resolution as yours, so everything might go nasty, instead you should prepare your dashboard such a way that "on what desktop resolution it is going to be used" must be kept in mind. so changing your desktop resolution is the best option, you can change your desktop resolution and see if you are getting what you want.

Thanks,

I am designing with the screen the dashboard is to be displayed on in mind. It's to go in a central control room and be displayed 24x7 on one screen only. I am going to run some tests with a smaller image (closer to the resolution of the screen) and see if that resolves the problem.

Hi Matthew,

rather going to file and document properties, you can go to View > Canvas Sizing and can increase and decrease the size as per your requirements. let the document properties remain default.

Thanks & Regards,

Yash

This first sets my canvas really small so as the background image is no longer visible, I then increase the canvas via the method you described but the login box remains exactly the same.

May if you are using an HD resolution laptop/desktop, the size will look small, if this is the case then decrease the windows resolution !!
