This is typically due to missing the data to begin with, can you confirm that this Java system has performance data under RCA > End-to-End Analysis?

What ST level are you on in the ABAP stack?

What levels are your LM* components on the Java side?

I think we don't have performance data in RCA > End-to-End Analysis.

Where I can configurate this? I

ST: "ST 710 0010 SAPKITL710"

LMSERVICE:

sap.comLM-SERVICE7.10 SP10 (1000.7.10.10.0.20131009123600)SAP AGSAP AG20140224141221

Those SP levels are good to go.

Did you perform the managed setup along with install the SMD agent on the system( s )?

Installing Solution Manager fresh doesn't mean you have deployed SMD diag agents or that you have managed the Satellite systems.

Lets start with this guide, have you done this on the Java system?

Once you have maintained the system data, you then flip over to "Configure System" and run through the process.

Managed_Systems - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki (This is a 7.01 but the screens and concepts is what you are after)

I had a similiar issue with SolMan 7.1 SP8 with a 7.4 java system, part of the issue was that Wily was not automatically creating a SAP GC entry under the Hostagent SMDA97; my issue was resolved with the release of the ST SP10 upgrade as content was also updated.

Is your Java system also a brand new install or is it on the latest SP of 7.4?

Another thought what patch level is your LM-Service, a new patch might address your issue?

I also show LM-TOOLS in my system at SP15 patch lvl 3; when I was working with SAP on my issue for SP08 one of these two components were suggested to be patched and it resolved some other issues I was having in the landscape.

Also here is a screenshot of Wily so you can find the location faster for SAP GC:

Hi Billy Warring,

Thank you for your help.

Our java versions are not 7.4. We are using 7.0, 7.2 and 7.3

I did upgrade solution manager 7.1 sp10 include LMSERVICE and LMTOOLS with SUM.

Our LM-TOOLS 7.02 SP13

I don't understand what is the point SAP GC?

This is my screen shot

Interesting, I have never had issues collecting data from those versions of Java; and you verified that the End-to-End has no metric data for any of those versions?

SAP GC is (in my opinion) a GC overview of the netweaver system, you may of noticed a second entry before you expanded SAP HostAgent Process; if you expand that second item you will also find garbage collection under that also but its not what is sent/collected by SolMan.

Can you also verify what version hostctrl is at for these systems?

Hi All,

Anyone got an answer to this as I am also experiencing this issue.

I'm running Solman 7.1 SPS14, SAP HOST AGENT 7.21 SP08 and LM-SERVICE 7.10 SP14 (1000.7.10.14.1.20151005123200)

My Java systems are 7.01 SPS17 and Solman Java Stack.

I can see data in E2E Workload analysis for all JAVA Stacks!

I've found this sap note 1843828 - Metrics for Technical Operation Dashboard that tells us which metric is the cause but doesn't explain why.  Anyone any idea where the screenshots come from in this note not the dashboard ones the others at the top?

Thanks

Craig
