Partner determination procedure for an Ibase

Hi,

I realize that we can assign a Partner Determination Procedure to an IBASE Category. However, I am not able to get an idea, how exactly this determines the Partners for an Ibase while creation.

Could you please help me out with any real time scenario, hopefully I could be able to uderstand with your example.
