Hi All,
I'm creating a report on Web Intelligence based on two Bex query and noticing that some of the mergable objects are highlighted/In bold letters and the merge option is greyed out for both of them. I have experienced this in the past as well and back then I was not able to use the highlighted objects as Input controls.
This behaviour often occurs when using Bex queries, I've not had a single instance when using Universe on Webi as such. Can anyone enlighten me on what triggers this to occur and is there a way to prevent this from happening.
Please refer to the screen shot attached for a quick look on how the objects apper to me .
Thanks

Thanks all,
I got the reason for this behavious, The QUERY STRIPPING was activated in Query Properties. Apparently, this is one of the performance enhancing features of Webi so objects that are not used within the report are highlighted and the data for these objects is not fetched into the report, hence supporting the retrieval time of the query.
I unchecked the Query Stripping box in Query Properties and refreshed the report and saved the changes, Worked like a charm. One of the objects was still showing in Bold, so I pulled it into the report and refreshed the report again (so the report forced it to fetch the data), dropped the object back to the Availiable Object pane once the fonts went back to normal.
Merge option was enabled in the end.
Thanks for everyone's time .
Gaurav
