checking of data flow - flat file source

Hi friends

I need to check for the data flow ( ie whether data will flow fine )

into a particular ODS that gets filled by an External Flat file . I do

not have the flat file / data . Is there any way I can ensure that the

connections are fine ( without having sample data ) ?
