Characteristic XXXXX does not support selection state

Dear all,

I have a IP query and I just add a selection variable on 0MATERIAL__ZFUL_HINM (attribute of a infoobject). But when running the query, I get following message "Characteristic 0MATERIAL__ZFUL_HINM does not support selection state" ?

Do you have an idea of the meaning of this message ?

Thanks for your quick feedback.

It was not possible to add it in "Characteristic restriction" because my variable is part of a BEX filter, but I solved the issue by adding the characteristic in "Default value".

Try using the variable in characteristic restriction..

check once 0MATERIAL__ZFUL_HINM infobject properties  once either it  is display attribute or navigational attribute .
