Hello Community,
we have a material flow systen in use and we have often a connection error between EWM system and PLC. Exceptional code is "MCOM" - cannot reach PLC.
The solution of this error is normally very simple - we just stop and start the communication channel and the material flow system works again.
My question:
Is there a possibility in EWM standard functionality to trigger this workaround automatically? If exception code "MCOM" occurs, then the system should try to establish the connection to PLC again.
Is it perhaps possible via Alert monitor?
Would be nice if somebody can offer any suggestions or a statement if there is no possibility to realize this.
Thank you very much in advance.
Kind regards
Heinz
Hi Heinz
Use handshake mode of PLC. reduce time. Handshake will check PLC is working or not.
It is in Config for PLC.
Goto define communication channel.
update lype tel type -:LIFE.
This will check your PLC is have life all the time.
Go to MFS Action and give fine 06 status check.
GOTo define telegram structure and for PLC interface type.
warehouse +interface (A) tel type Life + cat + Structure.
this should will resolve all your issue for automatic restarting your PLC.
