COPA Performance issue

Dear Gurus,

Recently we had performance issue during billing document and system gone to run time errors frequently and based on SAP support we have created secondary index as well, even though we are facing problem again.

I came to know that there are near about 40 segment level characteristics  (including Sales order/document) are activated in KEQ3 and i felt those have created performance issue.

Now my client has come to decision that he has reconstruct the KEQ3 and reduce from 40 to 10/15 characteristics.

Kindly advise me is there any harm or any precaution need to be taken care to deselect those unnecessary characteristics from KEQ3.

It feels special to see you in the same situation (pardon me please)

Yes, you can and you need to do change the settings in KEQ3.. After that, archive the older Prof Segments so that the system performance improves

There are some notes available for the same or you may contact SAP OSS for those SAP notes

Yes i have posted same issue in long back but still we are facing same issue at every six months.

Yes i have gone through those notes, but my concern is if i do the changes in KEQ3 that will not impact to the system in transaction level that is what i want to confirm from your end, if nothing will effect i will go ahead in the system.

Hi Chandu

It does not impact negatively

From next sales order onwards, it will derive a PSG out of MAT/Customer/Plant etc.. it wont take sales order into account

Even for the next sales order, it will take same PSG provided the MAT/Cust/PLant is same...

At present, you are havingf a PSG per sales order
