Need for "OpenNewTab" instead of "OpenNewWindow"

We are on DS 4.1 SP3 Version: 14.1.3.1257.

Does anybody know how to open documents in the same window in the launchpad?

Is this possible with setting some parameter?

You can't force a choice between new tab and new window via javascript.  That is determined by the users' browser settings.

The specification for finer control was proposed in the W3C consortium and abandoned.  Here is the abandoned spec:

Unfortunately, there is no parameter that you can adjust for this.

Actually it depends on your browser version + BI Platform version.

In older versions of IE and BI a new window was opened, recently a new tab is created. Did you check with different browsers?

I checked my IE Version: IE 11.0.96.... We are on a citrix-environment. Could this have an effect?

I must find a solution for this. Our LOB-users are not very amused about this behaviour.

Does anybody find out a solution to this?

I want to get a new tab in the green area in the BI-Launchpad.
