Oracle Universal Installer hangs on First Step - AIX

Hello all,

I'm trying to install SAP on an AIX 7.1 server. I'm using Cywing as X-Server (I have try with XMing as well). Everything was going well until the installation ask me to intall Oracle software. Then, I log into the server with ora<sid> user, start the installer,  it will ask to run rootpre.sh script and finally will open the UI for the installation. Here, I click next button and a popup with the title My Oracle Support Username/Email address Not Specified will appear but nothing is shown and the process seems to be hanged.

What could it be happening?

Hi Daniel,

Please ensure you are not checking the option for "receive notification from oracle support"

Also close this pop-up message and click next.

Let us know update on the same.

I can't close this pop-up. The process gets hanged and the pop-up will never shown its contents. Any pop-up in the process causes the process to get hanged.

This PopUp has only YES & No for selection..

Do you have option to try with XManager or VNC ?

Hello Ashis,

We managed to configure VNC in the server. This was the solution. I will not recommend to use X11 to make installation, it's pretty slow and causes problems.
