# in the dataload

Dear All

I am loading purchase data into BW. One field in my 2LIS_02_ITM datasource is the shorttext from the purchase order.

For some purchase orders users have put # in this shorttext and BW does not how to handle this and the load crashes. I tried to create an abap the replaces the # by space in the transfer rules but this did not work.

It of course can also not be resolved by putting # in the permitted characters.

HELP, anyone an idea ?
