Analysis for Office - Creating Web Application

Hi All,

Can we refresh the data once we create an web/mobile application in design studio based on Analysis for office? and how will the source be connected ? Want to know how the data refresh happens when an web application is created based on Analysis for Office as the source. Can someone please explain me the process? and does only the selected data in workbook will act as input to the web application ?

How are you creating these applications?  Are you using the ribbon in Analysis Office or the Smart Copy?

The ribbon will create a Design Studio application but in my case it is still reading the underlying BEx queries, so it is just like connecting to a BEx query

If creating a web application from ribbon works just like connecting to a Bex query, How does data refresh in Smart Copy work ? can you provide inputs to this as well ?

Came across the Smart Copy feature recently and was trying to know more about it. think it is used in versions older than 1.4 . Currently we are on Analysis for office 1.4 SP7.
