Reduplicative mitigation controls

Former Member

Hi There,

In RAR of GRC 5.3, there are many reduplicative mitigation controls. I tried to delete duplications, it seems like if I delete one of them, I will delete all of them. Could you please advise how to delete reduplicative mitigation controls and just keep one of them? And I also want to know why there are many reduplicative mitigation controls in our GRC. Thanks.

Thank you for any information or suggestion!

Regards,

Sophie W

Hi,

First step:

Do not delete any control as this duplication might just be the error in your display screen.

Second:

Could you check if there is any  modification done to your GRC server as a part of system administration.

Hi Mangesh,

Thank you for your help. I am going to check GRC server.

And I found, only mitigation with user mitigated have duplications. If mitigation only is for role mitgated, there are no duplications.

Hi Sophie,

You can check following

  • Check if mitigation to user assignment table has duplicates or it is only display error.
  • Check if they are exactly same in all details or there is a difference.

This will help you to focus in specific direction for troubleshooting.

Hi Mangesh,

Thanks for your advice.

I checked mitigation to user assignment. It is the same and no duplicates. and they are exactly same in all details. It is weird.

Thank you again for your help.

Hi Sophie,

Now you can focus on server related issue.

Also better to raise a SAP query too, if it is urgent.

Hope you get it solved soon.

Hi Mangesh,

Thank you.

This issue is related with monitors. The number of duplications are the same as the monitors and I test to delete some monitors, then duplications are gone.

I don't understand well about this logic. I am keeing checking it. Thank you very much for help.
