Upgrade from ECC 6.0 with no EHP to EHP 7

Hello,

We are planning an ERP upgrade from ECC 6.0, which has no enhancement package, to EHP 7.

Can this upgrade be done :

1. Directly to EHP7

OR

2. Do we need to first upgrade to a lower EHP, for example - to EHP 5 or 6 first, and then to EHP 7?

Hello Reena

It is possible to go directly to EHP7 but there are certain conditions.

1 - Make sure the source system has the minimum SP level as per this SAP note 1942969 - table SFW_BF_SW does not exist on database

2 - The system should be on a higher version of OS and DB if the target version is EHP6 and above.

Check PAM for supported OS and DB for EHP7.

Hi Reena,

I am in a similar situation like you. I have to upgrade our ECC 6 to ECC 6 EHP7.

I am OK till Sandbox System, but how can we proceed in productive landscape. Do we have to perform same steps in DEV --> QAS --> PROD systems as well.

If you could help and suggest me the best approach to achieve this task successfully, I will be very thankful to you.

Yes, you can upgrade the system to ECC 6 EHP 6 or 7,

before that is any other SAP system are connected to ECC6 ?

If it is yes, Kindly refer the SAP Note, & you require to check those SAP version are supported to ECC 6 EHP 7 ?

Hi Reena,

Yes, You can directly go to EHP7..

1) Generate the stack XML file from solman as per your requirement

2)check through PAM whether your DB & OS version is supported

3) download latest SUM tool
