Die life monitoring in SAP

Hi,

We are in process of Implementing SAP to one our Process industries. In this Industry we used Die for Aluminium casting manufacturing. In this die, 2 cavity, 4 cavity, 8 cavity option is availble. Two cavity means, we can produce 2nos of catings at a time.

A die can be used up to 80000 numbers only. Once this will reached, the die life is over.

Please help, is ther any provision to calculate the Die life in SAP system based on the cavity.

Dear Vaithiyanathan,

One way of addressing this your requirement is creating the die as a PRT and assigning this to the

respective operation.In case if it's created as equipment PRT means then through measuring document

the usage value can be tracked easily.

Also in addition to this PRT's are not supported for PP-PI setup and it can be used only in production

orders.

Thaks for your valuable input.

I had created and updated one PRT Material to Routing operation. In our system we maintained the Mile stone confirmation.

In my various confirmation, the COOIS report shows as per below. Here i cant see my Confirmation qty 10560nos. Pl help.
