Security log Activate

Dear Team,

I wanted to enable audit log permanently,I have set the following three parameter ,and taken a restart.

rsau/enable  1

rsau/max_diskspace/local  2048M

rsau/max_diskspace/per_file   512M

But still i cant see log in sm20...What else need to be done ....Whether after Maintaining the parameter also i need to activate from sm19.

Hi Rableen,

You need to maintain filters in SM19.

You specify the activities that you want to log in filters using the transaction SM19. You can read the log using the transaction SM20. You can delete old logs with the transaction SM18.

Dear Deepak,

Whether i need to enable Static or dynamic ,,,,What is the difference ...Once i am activating Dynamic then only i m able to see the log in sm20...

Whether i need to take a restart for static ??

Hello ,

Static filters can be activate only after system restart and will be distributed to All -application servers.

However if we set the filters in Dynamic profile ,those can be activated immediately and will exist until the system shut-down.
