Count Function in BOC

I would like to know whether a count function can be implemented to find out the number of fields that have value1==”sample1”&&value2==”sample2”, the two values coming correspondingly from two different columns, or at least a count function for the values in the rows in one column. Something similar to the numbers coming from Record Summary in the Column Information before having created the model. From then on, would it be possible to build stories on top of those numbers?

I feel a little bit constrained from the need to specify such fields as Dimensions and the fact that all segmentations during the visualization is based on the measure numbers… Would you recommend me a solution approach for this case or would you say that the platform is not suitable for this kind of analysis?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi Simona,

You can use the Account / Measure calculation editor to create a calculated account for this

Type: Aggregation

Operation: Count

I would use the conditional aggregation feature to specify the dimension values that you want to include in the count.
