diffrent trial balances in diffrent user ID

Hi Gurus

I have faced with a strange issue. Need your suggestion.

My issue is, when i am viewing Trial balance report in User id AAA, i am getting one balance report lets say rs 10000, if i view the same report using User id BBB i am getting another balance let say 9500 in the same production system. What would be the issue . Need your suggestion.

Hi,

It's either authorization issue (check via /NSU53) or parameters defined in user's profile, if you migrated to NewGL (there could be flag switched on user's profile to read old totals GLT0 table). If there was no migration to NewGL, then it is definitely authorizations.

Hi,

Please check with you Basis member as all the authorization object assigned to user roles.

Some authorization objects are listed below;

K_CCA

K_PCA

K_REPO_CCA

K_REPO_OPA

Are the users having same profile and role ?

As you are seeing different data for different user, then it can assume that this is problem with user master record. Kindly check these two user master records with your basis consultant for any types of authorizations issue.

i dont understand why you are asking me to check user master records as the problems is with the trial balance report. Report has to same in the production for all the users. please need clarity.

Hi ,

Can you Please save that report as variant for  User ID AAA . ( Both for selection screen and output ) Please create Gloabl Variant so all  user Can run . Now Please run the same  Variant in that report with User ID BB and now check wether its same or not .

one more thing if this Cost centre report then Please check RPC0  and go to REPORT CURRENCY TAB . Please comapre the settings for report .

IF your are running any financr report then please check whether you have currency translation option which may ne one user has active and another not .

You can see the problem arise as per different user. There might be some authorization issue, so I've said to check user master record. May be some authorization got failed for second user.
