SAP authentication plug-in needs to have been selected during the installation

Can anyone help me with an issue I have with the SAP authentication setup please. Unfortunately our BI 4.0 SP4 installation was installed without the SAP authentication being selected. On the setup document I have it says that the SAP authentication plug-in needs to have been selected during the installation. Does anyone know if it is possible to set this up retrospectively?

The document can be found on the following link. Setting up the SAP plug-in - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki

Thanks

Simon

The problem resides if the tomcat server is distributed from the BO application server, and a web tier installation was performed.

To resolve this requires the base install of BI4.0 on the tomcat server to be modified, as per Victor's answer.

I have found SAP note 1578810 covers this issue.

Hi Simon,

As Sebastian said, this is a default installation, but you must select the correct one that you need, I guess that Enterprise is the default one.

You can go to your base install and hit "modify", there you can install the missing component.

Hi,

the SAP Authentication somes with the default Installation. You should be fine by now.

Check the CMC -> Authentication -> SAP

The Plug- In should be there and you are good to go.

I thought so, I couldn't remember seeing SAP authentication as on option during installation, so i figured it must install automatically with the install. I'll check this out, thanks.
