Dear all,

I´m running my solution manager st08 and now the SP11 is out, i would like to make sure everything will work as it is after I upgrade this SP because i´m in the PCoE Audit process, the Service Desk and MOPz and EWA are running perfectly.

My system is Windows 2008 R2 with MS SQL Server 2008 R2.

Best regards,

Nelson Chamba

Hi Nelson,

Just FYI.

If you are going for PCOE audit in a couple of months, the you can go ahead with SPS08 itself.

SAP accepts versions till latest - 2.

You are on 08

SPS09 was a limited version (thus not considered)

Latest is 11.

So you'll be good till SPS12 is released, but you are surely running out of time

Hi Mohan,

I´ll stick for your options and wait for the audit pass and then get backup to this. If the audit takes time and the release 12 shows up no way, i´ll need to comeback to here

Hi Nelson,

We have recently done the SP8 to Sp10. the major challenge was most of RFC user roles are updated and changes in LMDB logical components.

but rest all fine, there was no constraints as such. refer the sap notes 1939668,   1955674, 1830640

Thanks

You can make use of the SAP Side-Effects Report

Hi Nelson

Nothing much to consider...

After the patching the system to SP11,Just run with your System Preparation and Basic configuration again..and make sure that Central Notes for SP11 are implemented completely...rest of the stuff will be fine..nothing to change in terms of EWA and MPOZ. we did this last week.

Kind Regards

Hi Nelson

Sorry i miss that Point as Reagan said, First you need to go through Side effects report..

Really it is not required to  re do all the activities...lets say for example..creating user and creating Solution and creating SAPOSS  most of the actives are not required.. you just need to go through the each and evary step in configuration and make sure that Central Note is applied and if there is any news roles..u need to upload them .

Dear Kakani,

I need help to complete the solman configurations and that was hard to archive, so I don´t want to run system preparation and BC again because during these phase something can go wrong and I´ll need to fix it before the Audit.

Thanks for the help

Hi Nelson

It won't take much time to perform  Basic Configuration and System preparation, As Jansi said , Just Apply the latest Version of the Central note for SP11 and Upload the  New roles.nothing much.

Kind Regards,
