Hi guys
I would like to map initials from the LDAP to a newly created initials attribute in KM. How is this done?
I have done the following steps:
1)
Created the attribute "Initialer" in "Direct editing" found in sys adm > sys conf > ume conf.
2)
Created a property metadata in property metadata > properties.
3)
Went to repository managers > UME object settings > UME principals > UME Principals and UME Attribute Mapping to map the attribute and make it a part of the IUser.
4)
Updated the dataSourceConfiguration-file with the following:
Any help will be greatly appreciated and rewarded.
Kind regards,

Hi Martin,
do you know the following How To Guide: Extend User Details? This might help.

Anyone?
Is there any difference in mapping LDAP attributes > Portal predefined attributes and mapping LDAP attributes > Custom portal attributes?
Kind regards,
Martin
Should I post this question in another forum like EP implementation?

Hi Martin,
Have a look at the following links:

Hi Guarav
Thanks for your input. I have been over the your link to help.sap.com several times, but I haven't been able to find the other link on sdn.
The second link looks interesting, and we will try to implement the solution in the near future. The only thing we have done differently is omitting "populateinitially=true", so it's going to be interesting if that makes a difference. According to the documentation I don't think it should make a difference, but it's sure worth a try.
I'll be back with the results.
Kind regards,
Martin
