SLT landscape scenario

Hello Experts,

We are planning for company code carve out for one our production system using SLT.

We have three system landscape DEV, QA & PRD.

I wanted to know what will be the best approach to prepare the landscape.(New landscape or within existing landscape)

There could be two possibilities -->

1. Should we plan for the new landscape i.e. starting from copy of DEV then QA and finally directly on PRD system.(usual scenario like SAP Upgrade)

2. Create a TEST systems (copy of PRD). Import SLO transport & adjustment from the TEST cycles to PRD system at final cutover. After PRD GO-live refresh DEV & QA from PRD.
