Hello all,

for some agriculture products it is only allowed to send them up to a certain weight. For example wheat up to 2000 kg for each shipment.

If I would like to enter a new order in Feeder/Retail about wheat with 1500 kg, then everything should be fine and GTS will not block me this order. But if I have an order about 2500 kg, the System should block me this order. How can I do the settings in the system, that the order will be blocked at 2500 kg?

Hi Jörg,

Although, there is no standard functionality to do so either at the SAP GTS or Feeder system end, either based on material or Customer.

But you can use user exit userexit_save_document_prepare in include MV45AFZZ to meet the requirement.

You need to use a Z-table to enter the maximum value for a material/customer level and then get it checked when the sales order is saved at the Feeder system end. This will make sure that if a sales order is more than the prescribed maximum quantity, then it will not be saved until the quantity is brought to a required level

Hi Jörg,

From the GTS prospective, you can do so with the help of a license with maximum weight defined for a particular case by selecting appropriate settings in the basis for quantity update part of a particular license type in the GTS configuration area for Compliance Management-->Legal Control-->Define License Types. This will make sure that for a particular case you will export/import a Pre- defined weight only of a Material and after its exhausted, all the such Future sales orders are blocked from the GTS end.

Hi Jörg,

You have to do so with any particular license type being used at your end but just change its basis for Quantity update to weight in the Configuration Setting to get the license updated based on material weights.

Please use the below path for the above suggestion (for GTS 10.1 Release):-

Global Trade Services-->Compliance Management-->Legal Control-->Define License Types-->     Select any license type details and make the basis for quantity update to weight,  if quantity update is turned on in that license type.

Hi Jörg,

You can put that in the License type being used at your for which you just changed the basis for Quantity update to weight.

Also, since you are using the weight as the factor for measure, please make sure that the same is there as base unit of measure in Feeder system material also and also the same unit of weight should be used in the license type as Basis for Quantity.

Sorry, maybe I don´t explain it well or I understand it not correctly. 😉

I have to enter the weight of the allowed quantity, for e.g. 2500 kgs.

Sorry for understanding it in the other way. If what I understand ,you want to restrict each transaction to 2500 Kg only, then you need to follow my first post of this thread for making customized settings as there is no such standard thing in my view.
