How to validate the maximum days to compensate in Time Quota Compensation

Dear Experts,

please tell me how to restrict or validate the maximum days to compensate in the time quota compensation
for ex. if the annual leave quota is 40 days i want to make the maximum days to compensate 50 % of the quota ( 20 days maxm )
and if the user enter amount more than the 50 % of the quota i want to got error

so please tell me how i can restrict it !!
