Bi-directional integration of Quotes with On-Premise CRM


We have a requirement to integrate SAP Cloud for customer with CRM On-Premise system. We want to enable the bi-directional synchronization of Quotes data between CRM & C4C.

I see from the integration guide snapshot, it only shows one-directional arrow from Quotes -> Orders and a dotted line with a reference back to Quote in C4C.

Does it mean, Quotes cannot be replicated from On-Premise CRM to Cloud? Is it only possible to trigger a Sales Order create request in CRM system from Quotes in C4c?

If standard integration doesn't support bi-directional behavior, does anyone know if it is even possible to build such scenario today? How much effort it takes to enable this?

    You are correct in that quotes are not bi-directional. What is the business scenario that requires both OP and Cloud to be working on the same quote? With 1405 we do have external pricing -which means from the Cloud you can get the CRM pricing with all discounts, change it, and then create the order with the quote pricing. Would this resolve the requirement for bi-directional quotes?

    You could build this, but it would be significant effort - assuming CRM OP has an inbound interfaces for quotes -but I'm not sure about that - you'd have to check.
