Generic data source using FM

Hi all,

Greetings!

We create generic datasources by using Infoset query, FM and View.My doubt is: when we go for using View and When by FM.

what i know that any relation exists between tables then go for View, if there is no relation exists between tables then go for FM. Is it right?

what are the Prerequisites for Generic datasources using FM. Please clarrify me.
