SMP3 / Integration: Is it possible for Integration gateway to act as a SOA?

Hi, I have a question on SMP3 and Integration...:Is it possible for Integration gateway to act as a SOA?

Every enterprise we are talking to currently have variety of Web Apps, RDMS Systems, Java Apps, Portals Etc as Back-ends. They are basically looking to create mobile apps by making use of all of their data from all above mentioned data sources. It includes fetching data from all or few data sources into One Place/SOA and then building custom service out of it. Is this what SMP Integration Gateway does and solves real problem of enterprises?

    Hi Mayur,

    Interesting question.

As per my knowledge, Integration Gateway(IG) is used to convert data from different backend sources into OData services. Backend could be SOAP WS, JPA, JDBC, DB2, SQL.

Lets call @Marvin Hoffmann for his inputs.
