I have browsed many SCN blogs however was not able to derive
a solution to my requirement hence posting here. Our client has the requirement
as mentioned below:
- Privilege Leave quota to be given in advance
every quarter. So if an employee joins on 01 April then we will run PT_QTA00
with Start Date as 1st April End Date as 30th June with
validity from 1st April till 31.12.9999, then 2nd Quarter
with Start Date as 1st July till 30th September with
Validity from 1st July till 31.12.9999 (We have the validity end
date as 31.12.9999 because at the end of calendar year Quota balance will be
transferred to next year).
- The assignment of quotas will be like I Quarter
(Jan to Mar) – 5 Leaves, II Quarter
(April to June) – 5.5 Leaves, III Quarter (July to September) – 5 Leaves & IV
Quarter (October to December). Thus a total of 21 quotas will be credited at the
end of year which does not includes actual leaves taken.
- If Privilege Leave quota balance exceeds 42 then
it will get lapse i.e. if at the end of Dec 2016 quota balance is 50 leaves then
next year Jan 2017 only 42 will be carried forward and 8 leaves will be lapsed.
I understand the carry forward restriction can be achieved
through PT60 however we are using RPTQTA00 report. I have also checked that my
requirement can be achieved through an enhancement in HRPTIME03. However, not
quite sure which user exit can be helpful and what logic to be written.
