How to assign classifcation to a product

Hello Experts,

I hope you are doing good.

I an facing an issue in SAP GTS System that there is a requirement as below,

Through a program or function module i have to assign classification(grouping and export numbering i.e data will be stored in /sapsll/ctsnum table) to a product(Ex:product number is 00000102121).

Please suggest me if you know any standard function modules to do this requirement. Its urgent.

Can you brief your requirement if you are still looking out for a solution.

you can use ..related to /SAPSLL/CTSNUM table.

/SAPSLL/CTSNUM_DB_DEL

/SAPSLL/CTSNUM_DB_INS

/SAPSLL/CTSNUM_DB_UPD

/SAPSLL/CTSNUM_DB_UPD_SWITCH

/SAPSLL/CTSNUM_DB_WRITE

updating /SAPSLL/CTSNUM is not suggestible.

P.S. Share solution in case ,it is solved.

Yes it is solved.We developed a customized Function module to do the classification through coding.

Hi KBS,

Dhilipan has already provided the documentation for the standard upload programs (I think you might need both /SAPSLL/MAEX_UPLOAD_R3 and /SAPSLL/MARC_UPLOAD_R3) but you have not responded.

Do you think those programs will satisfy your requirements, or should we continue to help you find solutions?

Enter relevant Logical System Group

and

Enter Product 102121

Execute

Classification Tab

Did you check report /SAPSLL/MAEX_UPLOAD_R3 already?

Input to this program should be file of specific format. Please try and let us know.

Hi KBS,

I think, this is for the classification of products in masses. Have you tried the Classification of products through work-lists in Customs Management and Compliance Management areas. This works for many products at a time.

Yes ,what you said is correct but the requirement is to develop a program,that is going to be used to assign the classification to a product(As i am a developer i have to develop a program).

that program will be used in future for assigning the classification to products.
