Will deleting SC line item automatically delete PO line item?

Hi Experts,

We have a shopping cart with 4 line items of we have deleted 2 line items.

We expect the same two line items in the PO will also get deleted. But it is not happening. Instead only one line item is deleted.

Either both line items should not be deleted or both should be deleted. It is mysterious that only one line item is deleted in PO whereas 2 are deleted in SC.

We are using a Classic Scenario.

Kindly throw some light on the issue.

Both PO items are supposed to be deleted.
For second item, what is the cart status? Item in deletion process or something like this?

Hi ,

The status showing in the shopping cart is "Item in Deletion process".

I tested different shopping carts deleting a different combination of line items.

But I noticed that in most of the cases(not all), except the first line item in the PO, other line items are deleted.

Sorry. I rechecked the PO's. In all the cases except the first line item all the other line items are deleted.

Could you please check whether the following notes are in your system?

1777594 - Inconsistency in deletion of follow on PO items

1813790 - Inconsistency in deletion of SC and follow on PO items

1863960 - Not all PO items are deleted on deletion of SC items

Thanks for the reply.

I checked all the three notes. all of them are addressing my issue correctly but the issue is that none can be implemented as the valid release starts from 701,702 whereas our SRM server is 700 only.

Can you please assist?

Hi Ramakrishnan,

OK..I have some issues with my internal 7.0 system, hence not able to test.
Let's put the notes I mentioned earlier aside for now.

Are you replicating SC with XML?
If yes, please check in the XML whether all the items you delete are sent with actioncode '03'.
Otherwise, you may record a BAPI_PO_CHANGE test data in ERP to have a look.

Please also take a look at the following notes:

SRM: 1814089, 1814717

ERP: 1836978

I tested today by implementing the note ERP: 1836978.

Now the issue is solved.
