Loction substitution: Subitem still created despite having full confirmation

Dear Gurus,

May i kindly seek your expertise once again.

Situation: Location Substitution

in /SAPAPO/ATPC07 (Check instructions) - Active RVA, Start Immediately and create sub item is ticked. Stock has enough to supply the demand.

During ATP/BOP, system creates subitem despite the location has enough sock to fulfill the demand.

Result: demand doubles (main item and sub item)

What should i do for the system to consider the stocks and would not create a subitem if stock can fulfill the demand?

Hello Ezekiel,

If you're using Rules Based ATP, and if you have clicked on "Rules Immediately", then it would mean that the sub item would be created. However, the confirmation would be from the substitute item which would then be rolled up to the main item.

For example, you may see the following thing in system

Line item 10  P1 L1 - Ordered  100     Confirmed 100

Line item 11  P1 L2 - Ordered  100     Confirmed 100

In this case, the actual confirmation came from Line item 11. However, the cumulative confirmation for the line item is shown at Line item 10 which is 100 PCs.

In case of partial confirmations, you would see as shown below

Line item 10  P1 L1 - Ordered  100     Confirmed 70

Line item 11  P1 L2 - Ordered  50     Confirmed 50

Line item 12  P1 L1 - Ordered 50      Confrimed 20
