Date format

Hi Guys,

I have to find out format of a date field which is stored in a field symobl.

assume <f1> = 11/11/2005.

I need to whether it is in MM/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yy...like that.

After i need to convert this to a YYYYMMDD format...

Do i have any functionModules or logic exist for this.
