Dear Experts

        Below are my scenario

We have  8 different legal entities with 4 different country ( same business )

Here 4 different  country with four  fiscal year variant  and also 4 chart of account   so my controlling area also  4

Controlling area like 1000, 2000,3000,4000

My company codes are like 1100,1200  assinged in the 1000 controlling area

2100,2200  assinged in the 2000 controlling area

3100,3200  assinged in the 3000 controlling area

4100,4200  assinged in the 4000 controlling area

My PCA also 1001,1002 in 1000 Controlling area

2001,2002 in 2000 Controlling Area

3001,3002 in 3000 Controlling area

4001,4002 in 4000 Controlling Area

My report Requirements as

1. I want to do the group level consolidation report (8 legal entity) so shall I use the group chart of accounts  ? in this group COA is it possible ?

2. I want to see the 1100,1200,2100,2200  financial statement ( all 4 company code together ) the same 3100,3200,4100,4200  financial statement

( all  company code together ) shall use the segment concept here  ? my doubt I am using different fiscal year and chart of accounts ,

3.  I want to see the Profit centes  1001,2001,3001,4001   together  shall I create the profit center  group here ? my doubt  how shall maintain the standard hierarchy  suppose if I use different standard hierarchy  can I get this report ? and also fiscal year and chart of accounts

Anybody Could you please  provide me your inputs

Thanks & Regards

Sri

Hi Venkat

1. Yes, You need to use Group CoA

2. Again, you will need to use Group CoA.. In the consolidation engine you can club the companies together and view the reports

3. PC groups wont work because your controlling areas are different.. I can only think of a Z report here

Or May be the consolidation engine should have some options (like BPC or BCS)

Thanks Ajay for quick reply

1.Yes, You need to use Group CoA

For Example : Travel exp  GL account is 4000100

All the COA I have create the same code for travel exp as 4000100 and also Group COA

When we create the GL account  while we have to be assign the  Group COA GL code

If I am wrong please correct me

2  .Again, you will need to use Group CoA.. In the consolidation engine you can club the companies together and view the reports

     (a) Could you please suggest me  any standard report for  financial statement with Group COA in Selection criteria

     (b) Otherwise without Group COA also  can we get the consolidation report through clapping the company codes ?

(c) suppose in this case if I use segment    Is it Wrong ?

3.PC groups wont work because your controlling areas are different.. I can only think of a Z report here

In this case if I use same standard hierarchy in all controlling area   can we get it  ? because  I have the same requirement in the cost center also

Here I want to group the  two different controlling area’s  cost centers so what could be the solution ?

Or May be the consolidation engine should have some options (like BPC or BCS)

Yes might be we can do try it in BPC , but it is not available ,I have in my scope BI report

Thanks

Hi Venkat

1. Yes, you need to assign Group GL number in the GL number of each company code

2. Consolidation is not just combining the FSV of 4 company codes.. It is a whole process

Incase you are only looking at combining the FSVs, you can achieve it through BI reports

3. BI report should help you here

Hi Ajay

Again I am opening this issue  because I  need some clarity in the consolidation

In the second point  consolidation report   I want to eliminate the inter company  transaction ( it is direct purchase and sales related transaction )

Here shall I use the Separate intercompany  customer , vendor  and GL accounts are enough  OR

Shall I use  Separate intercompany  customer , vendor   with Trading partner option  ?

Could you please suggest me

Thanks
