Softwares to be downloaded for Fresh installation

Dear Experts,

Am palnning to build  new ERP 6 EhP6 installation. Before going to downlaod, i would like to know the below queries

1) If I download Software Provisioning Manager, Which will contain all the required softwares?

2)What is the differ when we downlaod directly from SAP Netweaver 7.3/ 7.4 & Installation?

Hi Dheen,

Go through the Installation master guide(http://service.sap.com/insguides ) for required software DVD for complete installation. And Software Provisioning manager is the replacement of SAP installation master.

Hi Dheen,

1. If you will download SWPM then it is a tool which replaces installation master, so it is must to download SWPM for ERP6 EHP6 installation.

2. SAP Netweaver 7.3/7.4 links provide all the required component (Kernel etc) which you want to include in your ERP system.

1. No.  The SWPM replaces the former master installation disks.  You start the installation from the SWPM, then you will get prompted for the actual media depending on the options you choose.

2. You will need some media from the"Installation" section and some from the Netweaver section.

For details about which exact media you need and other important information, you might want to read the EHP6 master guide.
