Need Guidance Please....

Newbie question from me again .... I am trying to install ERP 6 EHP7 with NW 7.4 on Windows Server 2008 with SQL Server backend. It is so confusing and frustrating to even get guidance on the steps and the media. Essentially this is a brand new install - single server landscape (not an upgrade)

Installation Steps

What are the sequence of steps?

1. Prep the OS as described in the Master Guide
2. Install SQL Server 2012
3. Install NW 7.4
4. Install ERP 6 EHP7
5. Post Configuration

Do I need a step where I install ERP 6 base or something???

What are the files that are called the "Upgrade Export" and "Installation Export"?

Such a maze!!.... .... Any guidance is appreciated greatly!!!!

Deepak - So the EHP7 installation can be done by itself and this will also install the required base ERP 6 software also?

Hi Jacob,

For EHP7 direct installation export dumps are available and hence when you install you will have ERP 6.0 EHP7 on your system. NW stack will be 7.4 for EHP7 based system.

since EHP7 for ERP 6 is based on 740 i'd rather use

SWPM10SPS05

the 70SWPM is for 70 based SAP Systems...

After the installation you will need to upgrade the system using SUM to get all the components on the EHP7 level
