Unable to Tag changes to transport request

Dear Guru,

I am unable to tag changes made in the Query designer to a new request.

I tried to tag a query to a transport request using transport connection. When clicked on the Truck ( Bex ) then a new window popped up as below

I clicked on Assign/Delete and went on to create a transport request.

But when i am changing another query , it DOES NOT PROMPT me ( New transport request for Bex ) , where in i can create a new request.

All changes are being added to the same request ( created earlier ) .

I checked the previous threads but unable to solve my issue .

One more thing --> in RSA1--> Transport connection --> Transport --> switch off standard is greyed out ( hope it means its off ) .

I clicked on switch on standard

When i went back to query designed--> i gets hanged after i clickee on Open Query for very long .

To summarize,

1) What should i do to make sure it always prompts me to choose the transport request .

2) why is it that the query hangs when i clik on switch on standard

Thanks & regards,

Sudhir.

Just realised that when i delete the assignement . Only the query i tagged to the teansport request is in change mode .

Other querys are not in change mode.

    Hi Janardhan,

In your system you have created Bex transport request means any changes to the Bex object (query, workbook) will go and seats on that transport.

Please read my blog for "How to create Bex transport"

When we are using Bex transport then we will follow the following method for collection.

What ever queries you modified and you want to transport then

    RSA1 -> transport connection -> queries

here you will see the objects are present in your Bex request then

go to se03 -> unlock objects here select your bex request and unlock

then open Bex request and delete all objects from bex request but do not delete tsak so that next time whatever Bex changes will seat in the same reques.

Now you can able to collect your modified queries using rsa1 transport connection.

    Hope it will help you.

    Regards,

    Ganesh Bothe

    Hi,

Assuming as your facing above problem at dev system.

As my guess there will a request which was have chnage of your same query and not released.

So thats it not allowing to promt or capture into new transport.

So go to SE10, select modifiable and user id * and dsiplay and see the requests which are not released.in that find the request which was related your bex query.

Once you find transport which have collected obejcts of same query, ask the user by taking user id and delete or release them to further. Delete and release is depend on the use who created.

Later you can do your changes and capture into TR.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I think its due to your Package is missing as seen in your snap. So provide the package that
you guys are using for query elements after that try.

    Hope it will work.
