Doubt in using user exit...

Hi all,

I have a doubt in using user exit.

I had the conception that to use user exit we have to go in the include of its exit and write a code over there. Then assign the enhancement which contains that

exit's include to a project in CMOD and activate it.

But I guess there are some user exits called empty forms(example: usexit_save_document_prepare)provided with some modules which do not use this kind of enhancement technique.

So do we implement them or use them?

Waiting for the reply..

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Tushar.

there are two types of user exits broadly

    1. Enhancement

    2. Form exits.

Using cmod, we implement enhancements which will have function modules and other one is form exits, some sap transactions will have some gaps where we write code those are called form exits which will be in the performs in include files. These things we just write the code and activite them. Example of form exits are sales order, billing etc... generaly SD exits are form exits.
