Our client want to have check on movement type 999 for preallocation stock.

I have checked wm movement type 999 for the preallocation.

I am confused on the how to create scenario to test this.  Can you please explain how can I test this scenario.

So far it is not yet a scenario.

999 is a movement for the warehouse manager that allows almost any movement. Please explain what you mean by preallocation. Where does your process start, why does stock need to be pre-allocated.

Entry in the preallocation LT51 is maintained if there is no stock of the material.

We have check at wm 101 movement type configuration to check preallocated stock. So when TO created for materialdocument for GR of PO destination storage type is suggested from storage type maintained in preallocattion table T310 i.e. tcode LT51.

Now client need to have preallocation check on wm movement 999.

What could be the impact if we set preallcotaion check for the wm movmenent type 999.

Ok, now I got it, the German titel on that transaction is quite different to preallocated stock, and we are actually not using it at.

As you rightly said, LT51 is used if there is no stock for a material.

999 movement is used to move existing stock between bins.

This sounds pretty contradictory.

why would one maintain a preallocation if you have stock that could directly be used?

why was an existing preallocation not fulfilled when the receipt was done?

why would one ignore the preallocation with the receipt and do it uncertain events like a 999 movement.

The check can be activated to any movement and this check is carried out with the putaway into the destination bin
