AUSP Table updation

Dear All ,

I need to know under what processes this table AUSP gets updated. I have gathered some info like this table is used to see the Characteristic Values of any material or object etc but how it is related to Vendor ? My user is stating that he have created a vendor however unlike for other vendors, the AUSP table didnt get updated. Any piece of advice will be highly appreciated.

Eli is right..

AUSP is updated when your Materials are assigned to Classes (MTO Scenario) i.e. in your classification view of material masters, you have chosen Variant Class 300

Anotehr case is when your Vendors are assigned to Classes

There is another table associated with this.. (INOB)

my concern is with the second case where vendor is assigned to classes. how do we do it ? and what does INOB deals with ?

You assign objects to classes via CL20N transaction.

OK, here goes my problem, I have a vendor which has certain configurations assigned to vendor classification the data which hits in AUSP and INOB table. Now for certain vendors, we are though assigning the classification data however the corresponding updation in AUSP is not taking place. Is there any way out to update this table or do I raise it to SAP ? I am not able to understand what is causing the system not to update the AUSP.

Hello,

Do you see any class values updated in below path in vendor master (XK02)? Can you try to enter class and characteristic values here, save and then check?

Hi,

we have tried removing and again updating with values. but it simply doesnt pass to AUSP table. This is only for few select vendors. Other are all fine. We simply dont know whats with these few causing such trouble.

Is there any update terminations/Any waiting requests in queue? Please check SM13 once.

If it is in test system, Can you try to create a copy of this vendor (May be with different name) and try?

Hi,

as of now i dont see any . Basically this  updation is connected to an external system. Since AUSP is not updating the details are not flowing properly in the external system also causing issue with end user. Thats why i want to know the possible reason, is there any issue with master data updation or this is a standard system error due to network failure etc.How can i make sure the AUSP is updated ?

Hi,

Please, check note  1547034 - How are characteristic values updated in table AUSP?

It explains the situations where AUSP is not updated. If, after consulting this note, you still have some problems, I'd suggest raising a message to OSS.

I think this table gets updated when characteristics are created to be entered into Material Master through transaction code CT04.

Hi,

The table stores characteristic values in the framework of 'Classification system'. If your vendors are assigned to classes, then during LE master data creation user might be required to enter some characteristics, if they are defined as mandatory.
