Web Reporting - Save View Button

Hi,

I want to know how to use the 'Save View' button in web templates. I have currently created this button and when i save the view through portal it saves it but where do i see this view? Is it possible to create a dropdown box where i can see the views saved.

Also i tranported this template to the portal production system and when we try to save it there it says "The object cannont be processed because of transport problem". Has anyone faced this issue?

What version of BW are you using? BW 3.5 has a web item that will display all views for you. Without this, you would need to use a customized solution. The reason you cannot save might be due to object changeability of the views.

Do you have idea regarding the error that i get when i am trying to save the view on Portal Production system "The object cannot be proccessed because of transport problem".

I have added the 'query view selection' webitem to the template but it gives the error 'The effected web item does not exist. Check the spelling'.

What does this mean?

The saving problem seems to be trying to write your changes to a transport request and there is not one setup for the development class. I would either create a transport request or see how your BW system is setup for collecting changes. You should be able to go to the Transport Connection and change the object changability for the Query View item. Your system is set as a production system and no changes will be allowed unless this is changed. For the other error, I would simply check the name of the web items that the query view is referring to. I would also search the forum and OSS.
