Transport problem.....

I had a new source system assignment for an Infosource. So I create

a new Source system,TR and an Infopcakage.

Now I want to move that to QA. So I went to Transport Connection and collected the infopackage

into the right side of the screen. The first time I created a package also.

Then I pressed the Transport button. The things which I selected are

1. Datasource/File source

2. Transfer Structure

3. Infopackage.

Selected "Befre and after" in the collection mode.

I clicked TRANSPORT and the status is YELLOW now.

a) Source SYstem is not transported.

b) Transport req that first have to be released.

c) Transport req BWxxxx of user xxx (Some other user)

d) Objects that are locked by other Transport req

e) Gives me the datasource name

But what happens to the Old request since its released.. Will it be moved to QA ???

Or what will happen when the other user tries to transport his package ??

Since you don`t need it ..I would suggest don`t transport it to QA.

I went to SE09 and tried to see my Package. I found out thta its under another User which

I dont want. I tried to release it and it was sucesful. Then I tried to delete mine and create

all over again. It is not allowing me to delete that because its already released.

My requirement is

1. To remove my package (Or delete it) because its currently under someone else's package

2. Create a new one..

Pelase help

Also what will happen when you say RELEASE in SE09

If you have released the request ..you won`t be able to delete it now..

You can create a new request under your ID and then Right click--> Include Objects --> and specify the old request number so that all the objects from the previous request are added to your request.,.

In other words, the object on which you worked was already included in a previous CR in which (I think, someone else worked before).

Now you have to check the version of the object for which you are interested on...and pay attention to do not transport the CR in which the object is in a version for which you are not so sure about the content...

To carry out the transport you will have to release the request from transaction SE09.

Before that first check if the request has all the objects you need to move..

Hello Rin,

if you assign the same source system to the other TR you need to release that request first and try to make a small change to that object and it wtll ask you for th erequest number and assign thoses objects to the new transport request.
