Selecting Navigational Attributes in Infoset.

Hi all,

We are reporting on an Infoset, which fetches data from Transactional ODS. I have checked the navigational attributes in ODS.

But

I don't see any option to select the navigational attributes of ODS in Infoset.

Can we do this.... If so where is the option to do this.

Any help or advice is highly appreciated.

Regards

Hi Suneetha,

Navigational attributes cannot be accessed in an infoset..You will not have that option..

In such cases you need to join the main info object to the Infoset..

eg: If you were trying to access ATTR1 which is a nav attribute in your ODS for CHAR1,

In the infoset you will need to join Info Object CHAR1 to the CHAR1 in the ODS object which makes all the attributes of CHAR1 accessible in the Infoset..

Let me know if you need any more clarification..

Hi ,

I am challenged by the same thing and followed your suggestion.

After the join of the info object in question and then the inclusion of the nav attribute in the infoset I get the desired result when I perform a display of data on the infoset,.

But when I do a BEx Web Analysis based on the complete Infoset the Navigational attribute is not shown.

Can the included attribute be available for navigation?? I have not checked yet if the attribute is available through the query designer....

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Willem
