I know in standard SAP for a user in the same time zone as the application server the posting date will default to the system date, if a user is in a different time zone to the application server the date will be determined by the users time zone.
Is it possible to get the posting date to match the system date for a user in a different time zone to the system date? The reason for this is if we close carry out a FI period close in country A at 3pm(midnight in country B) then if we try to do a posting on the same day after closing the posting date and time will be from the users time and will block because the period is closed.
thanks
Joe
Hi, Substitution is one option. We also have the same concern in our company. We developed a custom program to close the previous period and Open new period based on Posting Period Variant. It can be run through batch job for different co code based on their time zone. Hope it helpes.
Thanks,
Deepanshu

Dear Babu,
You have to build up a substitution by FI (transaction OBBH).
I hope this can help You.
