Add-on IW_FND during configuration phase

Greetings to all

While upgrading our Development ECC system from EHP6 to EHP7 for HR

Renewal 2.0. we are getting an error.

Issue Description:

Tool used : SUM 1.0 SP 10 Patch 2

Activity: Upgrade from EHP6 to EHP7

Current Phase : Configuration

Issue: "Decision about Add-on IW_FND". SUM tool is asking a decision

about component IW_FND. We have gone through a couple of notes and it

seems IW_FND is not there for EHP7(NW 7.40) and is replaced with

SAP_GWFND

ref: SAP note 1569624 - Installation/Delta Upgrade of SAP NW Gateway 2.0

This seems like a bug in Solman Mopz which doesn't handle the IW_FND

component properly.

Issue was resolved by SAP developer by adding the below text entry in /usr/sap/SID/SUM/abap/bin/IS_MOVES.LST

(IW_FND, 250)     moves to (IW_FNDGC, 001)

Hi Devender,

I had the same issue now, hanged with IW_FND vendor key,.

I found the file as per the answer of this post,. but where do i can change the IS_MOVES.LST files,.

How can i update the below text in to that file,..any specific instructions given by SAP.

(IW_FND, 250)     moves to (IW_FNDGC, 001)

Hi Mohan,

just append this content in the file as it is mentioned:

(IW_FND, 250)     moves to (IW_FNDGC, 001)

and click on back and retry.

Hi Mohan,

Just retry by going back to extraction phase and start the configuration phase again.

if that wont work, try using upgrade tool SUM1.0 SP 9

I decided to use the SUM 1.0 sp9 for our EHP7 upgrade.

This went without any problems !

I am not sure how to update the text in IS_MOVES.LST file,..

Please check the attachement of the log file,..i am not sure where actually the text should add,..

Eg:  please check the attached images of the IS_MOVES.LST log file,..

If possible, please try to open ur IS_MOVES.LST file and let me know on which line it should be update.

I checked this note and the help.sap.com link as well.

Yes this component IW_FND will be obsolete for 740. and new components will be IW_FNDGC and SAP_GWFND. But this should have been handled by MOPZ as it does for other components which gets obsolete. not sure what is causing the issue here. i have raised a message to SAP as well to see if it is a known bug.

I upgraded our Sandbox as well. but this error didn't come. the only difference in Sandbox was that it was already upgraded to HR Renewal 1.0. which consists of a couple of NW Gateway components. but IW_FND was also at 250 sp 7.

and while upgrading sandbox I did it only till ehp7 without HR Renewal 2.0.

but this one consists of HR Renewal 2.0 as well.

SAP confirmed it's a bug in SUM 1.0 sp 10. they requested OS access to resolve it. will keep you posted.
